To change the setting from cooling to heating and vice versa, press and hold the arrow down and the fan button together until the heating or cooling icon shows on the screen. The recommended heating temperature for optimal effectiveness is 23°C.

The hotel is equipped with fire detection and alarm systems. Please familiarise yourself with the fire evacuation instructions in your bedroom. There is a plan of your nearest fire exit from your bedroom by the bedroom door. If you are hearing, sight or mobility impaired and would need any assistance to evacuate in case of emergency, please inform Reception. If you discover a fire, please operate the nearest fire alarm call point and evacuate to the designated hotel assembly point where you will be met by a member of the hotel team.

We provide hair dryers, irons and ironing boards in all of our bedrooms which can be found in the wardrobe.

A laundry bag and price list are available in your wardrobe. For same-day return, please drop off your laundry at reception by 8.30 am.

We strive to keep our rooms clean for every guest and operate a strict no-smoking policy. You will be charged a deep cleaning fee of £200 if we detect you have been smoking in the bedroom.

History

No trip to Canterbury would be complete without a visit to Canterbury Cathedral. Wonder at the stunning medieval stained-glass windows and take in the rich 1,400 years of history before simply enjoying the peaceful gardens that surround the cathedral. Be transported back in time at Canterbury Roman Museum: built around the remains of an original Roman townhouse, this museum is full of hidden treasures waiting to be discovered. For a unique vantage point of the city, take a guided river tour along the picturesque River Stour and learn more about Canterbury’s colourful history from a completely new perspective.
